Join us on Sunday October 16th as we celebrate the close of 2022's harvest season with some fantastic family oriented fun at the Pendleton Heights Orchard Fest!
The Stone Lion Puppet Theater will perform its show, "Down the Drain" at noon, where we'll learn about the importance of water conservancy in a most entertaining manner. Before and after the show, be sure to carve out time to check out the pumpkin patch, enter to win some excellent raffle prizes, and don't forget to let your kiddos participate in some interactive crafting with Miss Margarita, the original founder of Art Garden KC.
Because Halloween costumes can be costly and children quickly outgrow them, the Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association's Green Spaces Steward, Whitney Blaire, has conjured up a children's costume swap. To participate, bring your gently used costumes to exchange for new or new-to-you ones. Miss Jenn will be on hand to assist with costume selections and to answer any questions you might have, making costume shopping easier than ever. PHNA would like to make this a tradition so monetary donations will be appreciated, though certainly not required.
Lest you think the fun ends at 2pm, think again. You're invited to stick around afterwards for the Chiefs and Bills watch party at PH Coffee (2200 Lexington Ave). There'll be plenty of beer and hotdogs on hand for everyone, with a percentage of proceeds being gifted back to PHNA & PH Green Spaces. Bonus: if you buy a PH t-shirt at the PH Orchard Fest, you'll get a coupon for a free hotdog to enjoy during the game. Such a good deal! PH Coffee features a play area for little ones who may not be able to sit still for the duration of the game, so as you can see, everyone wins on Sunday.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Love, PH xo
