Safety & Security

Pendleton Heights neighbors look out for one another. Here's what you need to know about reporting concerns, contacting the right people, and staying safe in our neighborhood.

Who to Contact

Emergency

Call 911 for any active crime or emergency. Even if you don't know the exact location, call anyway — every report creates a record that helps drive policy change.

Non-Emergency

For non-urgent concerns, contact the KCPD Non-Emergency Response line: 816-234-5111

311

Use 311 to report quality-of-life issues like abandoned vehicles, illegal dumping, overgrown lots, and noise complaints. The more detail you provide, the better. Photos are very helpful.

Report online on the myKCMO app or call 311.

Park Rangers

For concerns in Kessler Park after hours, contact the Park Ranger after hours line: 816-668-6990.

Note: there are currently only 6 active park rangers serving more than 200 parks in KCMO.

Tips for Reporting

  • Be safe. Do not put yourself in harm's way — your safety comes first
  • Call 911 when a crime occurs — data matters and creates records that help change policy
  • Take photos and notes when it's safe to do so
  • Do not include yourself in photos
  • The more information you can provide, the better
  • When in doubt, call — even if you're unsure of the exact location or details
