What's on the August 4 ballot? All Jackson County voters will see 4 Missouri constitutional amendments, regardless of party ballot choice:
- Amendment 1: Renews Missouri's existing 0.1% parks, soil & water conservation tax for 10 more years. (No tax increase)
- Amendment 2: Would require Jackson County and other charter counties to elect their county assessors instead of appointing one. (No direct tax change)
- Amendment 4: Would change initiative-petition rules, making it harder to amend the Missouri Constitution through citizen-led ballot measures. (Affects how future ballot initiatives pass)
- Amendment 5: Would begin the process of phasing out Missouri's individual income tax as state revenues grow. (Could reshape future sales tax)
Free and open to the public. Audience questions accepted, with interviews before and after the forum. RSVP encouraged: forms.monday.com/forms/756a971ebc18cbfd99cb55f0b942e9e4
